Bramley Baptist Church

Reaching people with the love of God, and bringing them into a living relationship with Jesus Christ

Questions, questions

If you could ask God one question, what would it be?

That is what we asked passersby at the Bramley Carnival. We have been addressing the most common questions during Sunday services and will make summaries available here.

Why does God allow suffering? (a summary of the talk given one Sunday during Sept 2010)

Our bi-monthly church magazine has also been running a series of articles tackling some "Frequently Asked Questions".

Unless otherwise indicated, they are written by our Minister, Mark Duggan.

Why suffering?

What good can possibly come out of suffering?

What's so great about biblical prophecy?

Why are there different versions of the bible?

Isn't the God of the Old Testament a God of hate while the God of the New Testament is one of love?

How can a good God send people to Hell?

Hasn’t the church been guilty of great injustice?

Please note that these articles are not fully referenced and do not contain bibliographies. If you are interested in any of the subjects covered and would like to read more, please contact us and we will try and recommend a relevant book.

Is there a question you would like to see answered in a future article? If so, please get in touch via the e-mail address at the bottom of the page.

Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. - Matthew 5:16 (text verse for 2011)
