Sunday services

Morning - 10.30 am

This service is family friendly, with creche facilities available at the back of the church. We have a Sunday School (known as Y-zone) for ages 5 and over, and children usually join in the service for the first 20 minutes or so, before leaving for their own teaching.

We aim to be flexible in the style and format of our services, but they always include bible based teaching, prayer, and musical worship.

Evening - 6.30 pm (1st and 3rd Sundays of the month)

We meet on a Sunday evening twice a month. On the first Sunday, we have a prayer meeting, and we celebrate communion on the evening of the 3rd Sunday.

Themes

The sermon, or teaching element of the services, is planned around themes, each covering a few weeks. These may be on a specific book of the bible, or a broader topic.

Music

We use a mixture of modern worship songs and traditional hymns, and the musical accompaniment comes from our band (keyboard, guitar, bass and drums) and our organist. The style of worship seeks to reflect the background and faith experiences of our congregation.

Communion

We celebrate the Lord's Supper by taking bread and wine together twice a month. This usually takes place at the morning service on the first Sunday of the month, and in an evening service on the 3rd Sunday.

Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labour in vain. - Psalm 127:1 (text verse for 2008)
