Children and young people
On a Sunday
Children and young people are welcome at Bramley Baptist, and though we are small in number we have a good range of ages attending the church regularly, from 0 years upwards.
The morning services are particularly family friendly, with creche facilities available at the back of the church. We have a Sunday School ("Y-Zone") for ages 5 and over, and children usually join in the service for the first 20 minutes or so, before leaving for their own teaching.
A few times during the year we have a family service, for which all the children and young people stay in the church. Y-Zone sometimes have the chance to take a more active role by preparing part of the service, providing readings, drama, puppetry and audio-visual displays.
Youth cell group
A group for older teenagers who want to learn more about the Christian faith. They meet on Monday nights in the home of two of our church members.
Other youth activities
Bramley Baptist Church is involved with "Churches Together Youth in Leeds 13", an ecumenical group dedicated to providing a means for young people from different churches in the area to meet with each other socially. Events have included ice-skating in Millennium Square, helping make a dragon-fly pond at Rodley Nature Reserve, supporting our local Rugby League team (the Bramley Buffaloes), and a barbecue.
Stay and Play Tots
Our toddler group meets in the Family Centre (next door to the church building) from 9-11am on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The charge is £2 per family to cover costs, and includes a drink and a snack.
